I enjoyed making movies the most this year, because it was really fun tranforming pictures into a movie, and showing other people. You got to combine the pictures with music, and cool transitions, so while you watch the movie, instead of only pictures, you also get to enjoy the different transformations. It doesn't have a "correct" way of doing it, as long as you enjoy it yourself, that's all that it takes to make you happy with your own project! XD

During the four day Dragon Boat Festival, my classmates from elementary school, arranged a small get-together at a public elementary school, since our's was closed for the festival too. It was great fun seeing my old friends, and lots of them had changed. The boys played basketball, while the girls started chatting about their new school and life. It was a wonderful memory seeing my classmates that had been with me for over four years.

Last Saturday, I also went to I-Chung street with my family and cousin. I-Chung street is really famous for it's night market, which sells lots of stuff that teenagers adore. Shopping from one store to another, lining up to buy food from the stands on the street, it was really noisy, and fun.

May 27th, 2009- Dragon Boat Festival

During Dragon Boat festival, my relatives are going to come to Taichung, and spend a day or two at my grandma's house. I plan to relax and enjoy the time, and spend some time studying.

May 25th- Good Video

I think that a good video is a video that expresses the producer's feelings toward something, and clearly lets us understand what he or she wants to show, the main idea of a video. It would be nice if it was funny, with some cool music and transitions.

I think that games are fun when you have the time, and when you have nothing to do, but it is a waste of time, when you have piles of undone homework, or many tests tomorrow. It really depends on what games people play, because some like really violent and agressive games, which I think is very disgusting, and scientists say that people who play those games, usually turn very agressive themselves in the future.

I like blogging because it is a very good way of expressing myself, and not only do I have memories when I read them some day again, other people can also share this feeling with me that I have expressed. People learn a lot about you from your writing, and they get to know the person that wrote this, not the real person you are in real life. Everyone has a secret identify while they post things they have blogged, because I don't know you, nor do you know me, but the common thing that we share, is the happy memories of reading what I have written.No matter how harsh life is for someone, it all disappears when you are writing, it is like you are in your own fantasy world, which you can do anything you want, with a swish of your hand holding your pencil.Writing is a magical thing, and sharing, makes it even more valuable.

In my video, I will make pictures of people around me in my life, people who have given me, and shared very many valuable memories with me. May 11th, 2009-Mother's Day was...

Mother's day was very fun, we drove down to Shin-Juy just to eat a dinner with my grandma, and then headed back to Taichung, on Sunday night. My mother refused to accept the gifts we gave her, because she'd rather us be good to her, and listen to her every day, than shower her with gifts on mother's day, and then treat her impolite for the rest of the 364 days. So, we didn't really make a big deal out of mother's day, but just enjoyed a fancy meal.

If I created a video, it would be about my daily life at school or at home. Spending time with my family, hanging out with my friends, filming all the important memories that are parts of my life that can't be missing. Capturing the noisy boys during class time, the girls chatting loudly during lunch, people getting prepared tournaments, and all the fun stuff during school.

May 1st, 2009 If I go to the USA

If I went to the USA, I would go to New York and visit the Statue of Liberty. I would visit all the gorgeous sights there, and have the experience of living in such a modern city. It is such a cool place, like Las Vegas, the city never sleeps, with people dressed fashionably, having tastes completely different from Taiwan.
I would also like to go to Indiana, and visit my old home and friends, to refresh my memory about the good old days (not that it is bad now).

If I had a million dollars, I would buy my father a luxury car, my mother a mansion and an expensive LV Bag, and give them one quarter of my one million dollars. I would give my grandparents too one quarter of my one million dollars, and I would buy my sisters some expensive gifts, and give them one tenth of my one million dollars, and for the rest, I would put them in my account, and spend the rest on my own. I would donate some to charity, buy tons of books, expensive clothing and footwear, a house with everything I want in America, a pair of tickets to travel around the world, and everything I want in the world. I wouldn't spend it at once, so in my bank, there would be profits and stuff, so I could get an early retirement, and spend the rest of my life relaxing and exciting.

Some spend less time using lights, and save electricity, while others try their best to not make trash. What I learned in MUN, was that many people who dressed casually, now dress in suits and skirts. They all looked very nice, better than usual. Many schools came here, and a lot of people are very smart, which lets me understand how big the world is, you aren't just competing in your school or class, but with all the people in the world, which makes it even more scaring, interesting, and exciting. Like a frog in a well, not knowing anything about the world.

I will use google docs because it is very convenient, and private too. You don't need to worry about whether someone you don't wish to see this file to see it, beacause they need to have your permission to view the file. Also, like Sam, when people change the file, you can know immediately, instead of recieving e-mails that you don't know whether it is the most up-to dated. It makes life much more convenient!

I think I am a global student, because I have gone to many places in the world, and have seen many different cultures and religions, which each place differs from each other. I have experienced different living styles in different part of the world, which gives me knowledge that is not learnable from books, but only from experience.

I prefer 90 minute classes, because you are able to learn much more about something in class, instead of dividing it into sections for each day, which you might forget.

I could make a difference in reaching the UN goal of poverty and hunger, by raising money, or giving leftover food to people who need them. By raising money, we could have a flea market in our school, or in a park, or a market. We could send the money we earned to Africa, or maybe to some charity in Taiwan. We could give them the money so that they could buy food, or we could just give them leftovers, or even fresh food we haven't touched. Like in our school, during lunchtime, there are many leftovers that are recycled to probably to animals, or maybe even throwned away. If people took the food themselves, they could predict how much they would eat, and finish it, so then there wouldn't be that much leftover in the garbage, but untouched food still in plates. We could then give poor people the plates of food, instead of leftovers that are all mashed together with our spit. That is a good way to help people who are facing harsh conditions.

April 6th, 2009 My UN goal

The goal I would like to work on is to eradicate extreme hunger and poverty, because many people are dying every day because they don't have money to buy food to eat, and it is getting worse these months because of the economic crisis. I think that this is the most important one to work on, because even though some others for other categories are dying too, but the deaths of those aren't as high as the deaths for this category. It is cruel to watch people die in front of you, especially when you know that you have the power to save them, so even though if we aren't able to help everybody in the whole world who is suffering from poverty, at least we can save a few lives by either donating money, giving them jobs, or teaching them a skill so that they can use the skill to get a job.

It was a relaxing holiday, because I mostly did things that I enjoyed to do. But, it was also a bit boring, because I didn't really go anywhere, I stayed at home most of the time. I completed four items from the list. Even though my holiday was kinda boring, I still had fun, and can't wait for summer break, which is a way lot longer!!XD

If I controlled the internet, I wouldn't let anybody put pictures or writing that wasn't appropriate for other people to see. If they did, they would have to pay a lot of money to me, because they broke the rule. Also, I wouldn't allow people to steal other people's information from their computers too. Making the internet a safe place for people to relax, and do work.

March 13th, 2009 The bestest weekend

My favorite weekend is when we don't have tons of homework or tests on Monday. Then, I can really relax and enjoy the weekend. It would be fantastic if I started the day by sleeping late until 10:00, then reading some novels while eating a gourmet breakfast. For lunch, I would go to a buffet and eat all I can, then after I have digested, I would go swimming or play badminton with my family for two or three hours. After we finished exercising, it would be about three or four in the afternoon, and I would ask my friends if they wanted to see a movie or go shopping. We could have dinner together, and then head back home. After I get back, it will probably be about nine or ten, and I would watch T.V for the rest of the night. That would be a wonderful weekend for me!

So far, I liked doing the thing we did yesterday, when we used photoshop to make the words that had fire flames, or frost on it(frozen text). It was not very difficult, and the words turned out very unique and cool. It was great fun!

We could perform something that had to do with the things we are learning, like the seventh graders are learning poems about Annabel Lee and The Highwayman, maybe we could act the play out.

Assemblys are fun if there could be a topic, and everyone could talk about it, gathering ideas about what people think about it. Or, if maybe each class presents a show, or performs a performance, every two or three weeks.

Assemblys would improve if there was a performance every two or three times, making assemblys more than just up-to-date news. It would be more fun and interesting if there was a performance that could distract us from our busy and tiring lives.

I am definetely in favor of school uniforms, because not only do they save time, avoid peer pressure on clothing, and see if a person belongs to this school, they also look very organized on students when they are all together. People are able to not hide themselves behind complicated layers of clothing, afraid to show who they really are, if people wear school uniforms.

If there were no computers in the world, it would make life harder. Think about our text books, they are most likely typed out on computers, and then printed out to let us read. When we don't have text books, the books we could read would only be hand written books, and that would take a lot of time for a person to just complete a book. Also, if we needed to find information about something, it would make it more harder to find things without the internet. We would have to send letters to friends or family far away, and that would take a lot of time and money to continue sending letters to each other frequently. But since we have computers and e-mails, we get to send things to people faster and more conveniently.

Homeroom is a very peaceful and relaxing time to read by yourself and get involved with the characters as you too, are in the story too. But, I wish that during homeroom time, we could go to the library or write our homework. Doing something we want by ourselves as long as we are quiet. Than we could have more choices instead of reading books or magazines. I like the fact that it is the last period, because it is much more relaxing than other classes, and after we finish the only 30 minute class, we get to go home!

I like the part that it is very organized about every topic you type in, which gives you a detailed article about your topic. It is divided into different categories for different ages, which is just right for a small kid, or a grown up. I liked the video, and didn't really like the information cause it wasn't as much as Google or Yahoo.

This week I learned how to use a magic wand, how to change backgrounds of pictures, and how to combine other pictures with other different pictures in photoshop.

1. What is a pixel? Pixel are little squares that are digitized.
2. A magic wand is a tool based on color. When you select a place, click on a color you want, and the same color will change together.

January 9th

If I had one free hour on the computer, I would spend most of my time on my blog(30 minutes), making it look better, add some new photos, and writing some more posts. For the rest of the hour, I would divide my time into three sections, chosing a different one depending on how I feel. If I felt happy, I would play games on the internet. If I was bored, I would go check my e-mail, and see if any of my friend are on-line to chat with me. If I felt that I wasn't working too hard, I would go to google to find some information about reccent news and learn more about the world.

January 7th

Today is my third day of school, and Mr. Marcon has taught us how to make our own blogs!! What I wish to learn about photoshop is to combine pictures of me and my friends. I also wish that I can combine my family with extraordinary places, places that are almost impossible to go for a vacation, like in the North Pole with penguins and a huge killer whale in the background! It would be so cool to show these pictures to friends, but they gotta look real to fool my friends!

January 5th

I was very excited about coming to a new school, but also nervous and scared. But luckily, I had four other students I knew who were transferring here with me. On my first day, all the teachers and classmates were very nice to me, and explained all the rules each teacher had, and where to go to which classes. It was very hard at first to get used to an all English system, but after a few day, I am starting to get a grip at it.
